How It Works

Getting advice shouldn't feel like a big commitment. Here's what happens when you get in touch.

1

A free first chat

In person or online, at a time that suits you. Bring any questions you have. For many people, that's all they need, and there's no cost or obligation.

2

Getting to know you

If you'd like to take things further, I'll look at your finances, what you already have in place and what you want to achieve.

3

Clear advice

I'll talk you through my recommendations and confirm them in writing: what I suggest, why, and exactly what it costs.

4

You decide

Take your time. Nothing goes ahead until you're happy, and you only pay if you choose to proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Personal advice

It means I'm not tied to any bank, lender or insurer. I can look at products from across the market and recommend whatever genuinely suits you, rather than choosing from one company's range.

The first chat is free and there's no obligation. If you'd like full advice, I'll explain exactly what it costs before anything goes ahead. Depending on what you need, I may be paid by a fee, by commission from the provider, or a combination, and you'll have it confirmed in writing before you decide.

Yes. I'm based in Newtownabbey and meet people across Northern Ireland at home, at work or somewhere local. Online meetings are available too if that's easier.

For employers

“It's free? Aye, dead on. What's the catch?”

It's usually the first thing people ask when I tell them my financial wellbeing sessions are free for both the business and its employees.

Here's how it works.

I partner with local employers to run financial education sessions two or three times a year, combining group workshops with confidential one-to-ones.

We cover everything from pensions, mortgages and wills to insurance and investing.

More than 75% of the employees I speak to just want a few questions answered or some general guidance. That's exactly what these sessions are designed for.

I build long-term relationships with employers, supporting everyone from the shop floor to the boardroom.

Over time, some employees choose to take personalised advice on their mortgage, life insurance or pension. That's how I earn an income.

Any costs are explained upfront, and there's never any obligation to proceed.

Financial education for the majority. Financial advice for a few.

So, what's the catch?

An hour of your time and a group of employees.

We start with one session. If you think it's worthwhile, we can look at doing more.

No cost. No commitment.

I deliver on-site workshops for employers across Northern Ireland. Online workshops are also available across the UK.

Sessions can cover mortgages, pensions and retirement planning, protection planning, investing, inheritance tax and wills and estate planning.

Yes. After the workshop, anyone can book a confidential one-to-one to talk through their own situation. They can get their questions answered, receive general guidance or take full independent financial advice. Nothing discussed is shared with the employer.
